A Forest Pony.
Oil on board.
Signed G W Horlor and dated (94).
Framed and glazed.
George W. Horlor was an animal and sporting painter specialising in shooting scenes, and animals in the highlands. He worked in Cheltenham, Birmingham and Brentford and exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy (London) between 1849 and 1890. Many of his paintings have been made into reproductions.
'A Forest Pony' is in very good condition and is displayed in it's original frame.
