George lll Chippendale mahogany wine table
FINE 18th century George III THOMAS CHIPPENDALE design mahogany wine table. Wonderful original carved tripod base with pie crust top.
The base is fantastic with no repairs and everything is tight. The top has had a couple of almost invisible old repairs to the edge but is free from cracks and is great timber and a good colour.
We had to make a new turned boss (block) for this table underneath as the original stained beech one was completely rotten with wood worm.
Apart from the block this is a wonderful piece of genuine Thomas Chippendale antique furniture.
