George IV Mahogany Circular Occasional Table
Circa 1820, George IV mahogany circular occasional table. It has a solid mahogany top with ribbed fore-edge. Beneath the top the table is attached to a pine cross stretcher and from this comes a circular column. It turns, tapering and is elegant. As it continues down at the base of the upright column there is a turned bezel and from this 3 very stylish fluted downward tripod feet. Underneath the feet there is a metal cross banding to add extra strength to the table. Beneath the feet the table stands on 3 small turned knobs. The table has lovely colour and patination.
