George III Channel Island Wardrobe
Circa 1800. A rare and unusual two door 6 paneled mahogany wardrobe from Jersey or Guernsey. The moulded top with dentilled and concave section beneath. Pair of doors each with 6 panels with hanging behind one, and drawers and slides behind the other, each of the doors has stylish pierced brass escutcheons. The gables with conforming panels, beneath the doors there are further mouldings, all resting on stylish and elegant ogee bracket feet.
