George II Mahogany Tea Table with Cabriole Legs

A stunning George II breakfront mahogany tea table in fine original condition, circa 1750. With a top of rectangular form, having a single frieze drawer bearing its original pierced brass handle, it is supported on four cabriole legs carved with acanthus leaves and ending in ball and claw feet.
The fold-over top opens up and is supported on a back leg which swings out. Made from dense Cuban mahogany, the carving at the top of the legs is a particularly attractive feature. It would make a lovely side table for a reception room.
Dimensions:
Closed - Width 81 cm x Depth 40 cm x Height 73 cm (32 x 16 x 28 3/4 inches)
Open - Depth 80 cm (32 inches)
Condition: Very good antique condition without losses. The top has been repolished but frieze and legs appear to have their original finish. There is some splitting of the veneers on the sides but no losses.
Delivery: Approx. £60 to most places on mainland England & Wales. Please provide your postcode for a more accurate quote.
