Fabulous quality French Provincial Cherry Wood glazed Cabinet.
The base is raised on short cabriole legs, has shaped frieze at front & sides, canted & reeded corners. The door has four glazed panels.The sloped top has a book rest.
The glazed upper section has decorative scrolls to either side & has a shell carving to the architectural pediment.
The initials PRT/SC are carved in the pediment, possibly for a marriage gift. Both the top & bottom internal sections are lined with a soft peach coloured fabric.
Original key for both working locks.
As can be expected with Antique French furniture there is evidence of historic worm, now treated as a precaution.
The exceptionally small size will suit any home.
