A beautiful French mahogany ormolu mounted vitrine with Vernis Martin panels. This is a little stunner of a display cabinet. The sides are curved with Vernis Martin painted picturesque scenes to the bottom all surrounded with brass beading. The centre glazed door also has a pretty painted romantic scene to base with working lock and key and ormolu mount. The interior has it's original material and a glass shelf.
The top has a lovely rouge mottled marble top with a three quarter fretted brass gallery. The cabinet uprights have floral ormolu mounts. The cabinet sits on four cabriole legs with ormolu mounts and shoes. In addition to this there is a beautiful swag brass moulding to the edge of the top with an undulating scroll brass moulding below. This is a great size cabinet and benefits from all round visual display.
