French Oak Extending Dining Table
Fantastic French louis xv style extending dining or kitchen table with parquetry top, circa 1900
The main top of the table is stunning, beautifully panelled with oak and walnut parquetry, with the two additional leaves sliding from under the table - see pics for how this works
Gives great flexibility, when closed the table will seat 6 in comfort, but with both leaves pulled out, it will seat 10...though you can just pull one leaf if required
The base of the table is typically French louis style with the cabriole legs and serpentine rails and scallop shell carvings
You will notice that the main top and the leaves are a different colour tone, this is due to sun bleaching and many many years of use, with the leaves only being used occasionally...not a big change in colour and adds to the overall character
Measuring:
29 3/4'' / 75.5cm table top height
45'' / 114cm wide
51'' / 129cm long when closed
There are two 20 1/2'' / 52cm leaves
Total length when fully extended is 92'' / 233cm
The legroom height under the table varies from 23'' - 24'' / 58.5cm - 61cm
