French mahogany display cabinet

A handsome and fine quality French mahogany display cabinet, ideally proportioned for use in an alcove, having an elaborate brass patera and brass bobbin beading to the frieze, above a single glazed door also with brass bobbin beading, opening to reveal an arrangement of three adjustable shelves covered in red watered silk, and raised on turned bun feet.
Width 31” (79cm) Depth 15” (38cm) Height 64” (163cm)
Condition and Details of Restoration
This cabinet is in original untouched structural condition and completely sound. The polish has been revived, by our own craftsmen, by hand in the traditional manner. There are some old marks and scuffs underneath the polish as might be expected on an example of this age, as can be seen from the photographs. The watered silk lining, while unlikely to be original, has been on there for many years it is in good condition considering, but is necessarily a little faded and rubbed in areas. We would be happy to advise you should you prefer to have the cabinet re-lined.
