Very stylish early 19th.c. French Louis Phillipe era marble top chest of drawers c.1830. Original grey marble top with canted corners and a moulded edge over four long drawers. Typical of the style, applied and carved decoration is forgoed in favour of carefully chosen figured walnut veeners arranged in a symmetical pattern across the front of the chest. Raised on a plinth and moulded feet both of which repeat the canted corners of the marble top. Beautiful condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.
