French Figured Walnut Bureau Plat Centre Table
Very elegant early c19th French Louis XV style bureau plat centre table in figured walnut and marquetry.
Great size table for a number of uses, from a hall console table, bureau plat, sofa table, dressing table etc.
This is a good early piece and is super decorative with the figured walnut and wonderful depth of patina with many many layers of beeswax.
The ebonised edge to the shaped top is a nice touch and a lovely contrast.
Being figured walnut, there are age cracks and marks throughout but not of any concern and add to the originality of this piece.
Certainly a good piece to use as a dressing table with either a wall mounted or a free standing mirror, but also has good leg space to use as a writing table too.
Measuring:
28 1/2 inches for 72.5 cm high
40 inches or 101.5 cm wide
22 1/4 inches or 56.5 cm deep
24 inches or 61 cm the whole height Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
