French Empire mahogany Gueridon marble top table
Fantastic quality 19th century French Empire mahogany Gueridon centre table with original marble top. Circa 1840 and in lovely original condition.
The marble top has a moulded dish edging and is in this classic charcoal grey with white vein. Good thick marble and has a lovely polished finish.
The pedestal base has the hexagonal balustrade column with a scrolled triform splayed leg and wonderful carved lions paw feet.
This really is a beautiful table, perfect size for a generous hall table but being round this would fit very well as a corner lamp table.
Measuring:
27 1/4 inches or 69 cm high
38 1/4 or 97 cm diameter
23 3/4 inches or 61 cm height underneath Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
