French Country Elm Drop Leaf Table, Kitchen Dining Table

This is an unusual piece, the table is made from solid Elm, when opened out the 2” thick elm top makes a circle 51” in diameter.
The leaves are supported by a wooden supports that pull out from the main frame of the table, this is very sturdy and does not move or rattle, the table has attractive turned elm legs and a stretchered base
The table dates from the mid 19th Century and is made from solid planks which are occasionally chamfered at the edges, the table also has a drawer at one end
The table is in very good sturdy and attractive condition for its age, there is evidence of old wood worm, this is dead and gives great character to the piece
The table is 32” high, 51” in diameter
