This is an attractive and very good quality antique French provincial cherry wood side table / small refectory table, circa 1850, in original condition.

This is an attractive and very good quality antique French provincial table, circa 1850, in original condition. This table would have been used in a country property in France as a side table / small refectory table. The table features a beautiful cherry wood top with a lovely grain configuration, a central working drawer, which features its original turned knob. Inside the drawer, the sides are sycamore lined. The table has been handmade using the pegged construction method. Below the drawer, four very pretty tapered legs support the table. The table will seat up to four people and is sufficiently tall enough to fit your legs underneath and is sufficiently wide to accommodate serving dishes in the centre of the table. The table boasts a superb rich orange cherry colour and is in excellent original condition.
This table boasts a rich orange cherry wood colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This item would look superb in a variety of rooms, specifically the kitchen to the hallway. This item would certainly grace any home and a great investment, as it’s an extremely functional item. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.
Condition Report
Considering its age, this item is in excellent original condition. There are no stains or cup marks to the top of the table. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and legs but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The working drawer features its original turned knob. The drawer is in good working order and closes flush to the frame. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.
