French Burr Walnut Armoire Wardrobe
Early 19th century burr and straight grain walnut two door armoire with a hanging rail and shelves, circa 1800.
The armoire has full depth for hanging clothes, so there is a hanging rail fitted to the underside of the top shelf, also the lower shelf is removable if you would rather.
Wonderful colour and grain pattern to the burr walnut, framed and panelled in straight grain walnut. Original hinges and escutcheon, also with working key and lock too.
This is a large armoire with great storage, ideal as a house keepers cupboard or wardrobe etc.
Measuring:
84 1/2 inches or 215 cm high
62 inches or 157.5 cm wide at the cornice
56 1/4 inches or 143 cm wide body
22 3/4 inches or 58 cm deep at the cornice
18 inches or 46 cm internal depth Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
