Framed C18th Engraving 'A Lady and Her Children'
Artist - Engraved by Thomas Watson (1750-1781) after the original by Daniel Gardner (c.1705-1805)
Title - A Lady and Her Children
Details - Antique oval engraving of Lady Rebecca Rushout (1740-1818) and her children Harriet, John and Anne. Published for Thomas Watson & William Dickinson in 1778. Glazed and framed in a Victorian ebonised and gilt frame. There is some (badly damaged) information pasted to the back of the frame about the sitters.
Condition - Overall in fair condition. The print is discoloured with age and has some foxing (brown spotting). There is an area of water staining to the bottom corner of the sheet. The frame is scuffed, worn and damaged with some minor losses. The frame paintwork is dulled.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Image (oval) - 51.5cm by 44.5cm
