Framed Bernard Gotch Watercolour of Bisney Oxford
Artist - Bernard Gotch (1876-1986), a British watercolour artist best known for his paintings of the buildings and streets of Oxford.
Title - Binsey 1958, Looking Across to Port Meadow
Medium - Watercolour
Details - Hazy waterside scene. Signed in pencil in one bottom corner. Mounted and framed in a more modern frame. Titled on the back of the frame. Also noted on the back of the frame is: 'Bought from Mary Gotch around 1975'.
Condition - Overall in good condition. May be faded, although this effect may have been intentional by the artist, we are not sure. There are a couple of spots of foxing to the picture. The frame and mount are in good clean condition. The frame has some scuffing and wear, and has some paint marks in one corner. The picture has moved in the frame.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
