Rare and attractive set of 5 early 19th.c. ‘balloon back’ type simulated rosewood dining chairs c.1830. Hardwood frames painted with simulation wood grain to resemble rosewood, the most fashionable timber during the Regency period. Elegant design with shaped backrest, 18″ x 16″ lift-off seat pads and an unusually slim turned front leg. Very good condition with only minor wear to the paint finish and serviceable upholstery.

Dimensions width 18″, depth 20″, height 33″.
