A very stylish Royal Worcester porcelain coffee cup and trembleuse type saucer in the aesthetic style with a dramatic Japanese influence of layered raised gilding of stylised seaweed. A reeded moulded handle with criss-crossed ribbons and finished with gilt dentil rims. Factory stamped marks, dated for 1879, and the saucer with impressed mark also and a gilder's mark, a signed B over 231 and FR.

The cup measures 8.3cm (3 1/4") rim to rim and 5.1cm (2") high and the saucer is 13.8cm (5 7/16") wide and 2.5cm (1").

In excellent condition with no damage or repair, minimal handling wear. The surface is very finely crazed. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
