A very good Quality Leather Top Desk, originating in France in the mid 19th Century. The desk can be free standing in a room as finished on all sides. The 5 drawers all run smoothly. Key present and all locks work. Nice crisp carved decoration and she sits on cabriole legs. The quality of this piece is very high which can be seen in the construction, lovely dovetail joints, excellent tight Burr Walnut.
This beautiful desk is in excellent condition for the home having been re finished to a very high standard and a replacement leather has been fitted to the top.
The kneehole is 61.5 cm high and 63 cm wide.
