FINE & RARE pair of early to mid 19th century Persian Tehran large size thick glazed earthenware oil jars of a wonderful design. Polycrome decorated with foliage, birds and RARELY FISH. The colours are very nice, mellow tones, not bright and garish. The jars have the crackle type glazing. Both are in very good order with no repairs, cracks or major chips.

As nice a pair as I've seen from this period.
