Fine Georgian Tray Top Commode
A fine and original George III mahogany tray top Commode. The piece stands on thumb nail moulded legs with two false drawers to the front, which retain the original gilt brass handles. The cupboard doors are inlaid with box wood stringing and the top has a nicely shaped gallery. The whole is in excellent condition and retains the original colour and patina, a great piece of eighteenth century country house antique furniture useable today as a bedside table or occasional piece. C.1780.
