A charming Derby porcelain model of a pointer poised on a naturalistic base covered in flowers and propped against a well modelled tree trunk with applied leaves to the reverse. The dog in liver and white with a beautiful doleful face with detailed markings. c.1800-1820, marked with the number 34 in enamel under the base.

It measures 16.5cm (6 1/2") long, 10.2cm (4") high and 7cm (2 3/4") deep.

Condition is excellent. The tail has been professionally repaired at the base. A few leaves on the tree trunk have been chipped and colour matched. There is a slight scuff to the glaze on his left ear. No restoration and very minor handling wear. A lovely, bright and very nicely coloured example. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
