Fine Burr Walnut Writing Table
A superb quality Victorian freestanding burr walnut library / writing table from the renown workshops of T.Willson of 68 Great Queen Street, London (see photo). The top having a cross banded and thumb moulded edge with inset leather of the best quality with subtle gold and blind tooling. The burr walnut frieze having 2 mahogany lined hidden drawers to one side and decorative acanthus carving to both sides. The base having well turned and carved columns and the whole supported on cabriole legs with acanthus carving and scroll toes each retaining the original brass and porcelain castors. Sizes - Height…27.75’’/ 70.5cm. Width…57’’/ 145cm. Depth…29.5’’/ 75cm. Delivery to most of U.K. £65.
