F.Counsell Pair Oils 1905/6 Waterlillies Narcissi
We are offering for sale this attractive pair of oils on canvas by the artist F. Counsell, who has signed the paintings in the lower left hand corner and dated the narcissi 1906 and the waterlillies 1905.
The first painting depicts a group of narcissi, with, at the top, a couple of tulips. The second painting is of a group of waterlillies, from bud to fully open, close to a cluster of reeds.
Unfortunately, we have been unable to find any biographical information about the artist, but the paintings have been well executed.
The paintings have been newly framed in a 2 1/4" gilt frame with pale detailing and will be supplied wired and ready to hang.
Image size 23 3/4" x 11 1/2" - 60.4cm x 29.15cm
Frame size 28 1/4" x 16 1/8" - 70.75cm x 40.9cm
Medium Oils on canvas
Condition Both in excellent condition, with no repairs, paint loss or craquelure. Very slight stretcher marks on the waterlillies. The frames are new.
