Pair of 17th century Italian still lifes. Oil on canvas artworks depicting splendid still lifes with fruit and parrots, of great charm. Paintings of extraordinary pictorial quality, we can in fact appreciate the realism in the representation of fruit and the attention to meticulous naturalistic details. Elegant, masterfully painted parrots peck peaches, pears and figs and give the composition dynamism and exotic colours. 20th century frames in carved, gilded and painted wood, with some signs of aging (see photo).
