This is a outstanding antique Chinese dragon charger dating from around 1900. The charger is stunningly moulded in high relief. The fabulous dragon mask on a background of dragons, foliage and amazing geometric motifs, all highlighted in colourful majolica type glazes. The piece has clear impressed marks to the base, stamped by the artist and is a good size measuring 42 cms in diameter. Remarkably this is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration. It is most noticeable as a really decorative piece which has a great impact in any setting.
