Exceptional Marquetry Centre Hall Table
A very beautiful and certainly decorative English 19th century rosewood and marquetry inlaid centre hall table on a grand scale, circa 1860 and in lovely original condition.
Great size for a large hall centre hall table, but would also work very well as a corner display or lamp table and could also be used as a breakfast table too perhaps.
The table is beautifully marquetry inlaid and finished with a scalloped edge, supported by three incredible solid rosewood deep cabriole legs.
The table originally had castors which have been removed at some time, so I can replace them if you would rather the table sat a little higher.
Amazing quality table, a great decorative piece of furniture and sympathetically restored, retaining all of its original aged and finished with beeswaxed finish so it has a wonderful glow.
Measuring:
28 inches or 71 cm height
48 1/2 inches or 124 cm diameter
23 inches or 58.5 cm from the floor to the apron Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
