Remarkable Chinoiserie cabinet on stand by the Bristol cabinet makers James Phillips & Sons c.1920. Three door ebonised cabinet with a blind door cupboard flanked by display cabinets to each side with glazed doors and sides and glass shelves. Exceptional quality chinoiserie style panels of figures in a landscape in raised lacquer work across the top and centre door, with further detail of oriental figures, temples and dragons to the door surrounds and sides. Open the centre door to reveal another superb lacquer panel of female musicians in gold against a very attractive green ground. The cabinet sits on a fine George II style giltwood stand, superbly carved and pierced with crisp foliate detail and splendid lion’s masks to the centre and each corner. Fabulous condition throughout, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.
