A tonalist landscape, oil on board of trees with a distant building. Signed lower left corner with the initials OVO.

Writings of him speak warmly as an exceptional master, intent on bringing out the potential of the boys in his care. Open minded and generous, widely read and an artist at heart.

He taught at Eton College 1930-64 as a House Master leaving to become Head Master of the historic public school, Charterhouse.
