A lovely antique walnut French bedside cabinet. We date this cabinet to the very early 20th century.

The cabinet sits four turned feet and has a lovely fixed marble top of mottled red, grey and white.

The cabinet has a drawer over a cupboard, the cupboard is fitted with a removable later added shelf.

The cabinet is square in shape with canted corners, there are decorative brass moldings applied on the front top corners. The door has a lovely brass drop handle mounted on a shapely backplate, the drawer has a brass knob handle mounted on a shapely backplate.

The cabinet has an overall height of 32" (81cm), a width of 16.5" (42cm) and a depth of 16.5" (42cm).

This attractive cabinet remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are some minor marks to the marble and some old wormholes to the base which we have treated twice to make sure.

This remains a very stylish & elegant cabinet. It could serve well as either a bedside cabinet or as a side cabinet. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
