George III elm open Welsh dresser base c.1800. Superb top featuring a single piece 18″ wide elm board with pronounced grain and a moulded edge. Over three large drawers and a particularly attractive shaped apron to the front and sides, all raised on straight stiles. Well figured elm drawer fronts with a simple scratch carved detail to the edge and brass swan neck handles. Elm sides and back board. Some old marks to the top and an earlier repair to the back edge. Otherwise excellent condition, with particularly good colour to the front. Simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
