Elizabeth I, Carved Oak Chest,
West Country, Circa 1580 1600.

Double panelled top & four panelled front. Each front panel enclosed within carved arcades. with fluted doric pillars supporting each arcade & with oak leaf spandrels. with a lunette-carved top & bottom rails. The front muntins & stiles each carved with intricate strapwork.
