This is an elegant Victorian period Rococo style pedestal table with great detail and a stunning design. The circular top has a gadrooned gilded edge which is inset with glass beneath which is appears to be the original pale orange silk. (Note. The glass top shows reflection of wallpaper above, the silk is actually plain in a soft pale antique orange). The three scrolling feet are beautifully carved with acanthus leaf detail and the table is painted an antique French white which is attractively gilded.
This is a charming Victorian period table of quite a rare design seldom seen.
The table has pleasing, neat proportions measuring 78cms in height and 48cms in diameter. The glass section being 40 cms in diameter.
