A classical piece of solid oak office antique furniture featuring a tambour front to top section which opens up to reveal numerous slides, drawers and compartments for various pieces of stationary. This is positioned above a large writing surface which is deep enough to take a normal sized laptop with the tambour front closed. This is complemented by a beautiful brass lock escutcheon lock and key. All of this is positioned above a twin pedestal base with pull out slides to top and graduated drawers. The desk is positioned on four castors so can easily be moved for cleaning purposes etc. This piece breaks down into four individual sections for ease of transportation and reassembly. The item is in lovely condition for its age, and has a newly fitted lock which is in perfect working order. There are some signs of wear and tear as it has been used daily in an office/study environment. The desk is in good condition for a piece of furniture this age. Unfortunately, there are two small holes to the top of both left and right hand drawer where a circular lock would have been fitted, and we have not been able to replace these this does not detract from the beauty of this quality piece of antique furniture.
