Edwardian Mahogany Writing Desk c.1905
Fine quality Edwardian mahogany writing desk c.1905. Raised back with a pierced brass gallery and two sets of small stationery drawers flanking a bevelled mirror plate at the centre. Desk top with original tooled tan leather skiver over three drawers, arranged in line with the smaller drawers above. Sparkling satinwood crossbanding and inlaid ebony and boxwood stringing to the drawer fronts, each retaining the original brass handles. Slim tapering legs, with inlaid stringing to the front and sides, raised on the brass castors. Solid mahogany sides, also inlaid, and drawer linings. Some old wear to the leather (could be replaced if preferred), otherwise excellent condition, original through, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
