This Edwardian mahogany wardrobe is in superb condition. It disassembles into five sections: an out swept cornice with exquisite inlaid frieze, two sections with bevelled mirrors, and a central section comprising drawers and a base. The side doors reveal spaces for hanging garments, one with a fixed rail and the other with a sliding rail, each topped with a single storage shelf. The middle section features two marquetry inlay doors with shelves behind, a pair of half-width drawers and three full-length drawers. The ash-lined drawers, smooth-running and dovetailed, boast delicate inlays of satinwood and ebony, and retain their original embossed ring handles. While all antiques have their quirks, this piece is a solid, well-crafted, and highly decorative.
