Circa 1900, an Edwardian mahogany open bookcase. This rectangular bookcase has a solid mahogany top with a moulded edge. Beneath the top there is a stylish apron on the front, which has beading beneath it. This beading continues around to the sides. The bookcase has four adjustable shelves that have polished sections at the front and fore-edges and a ridge on the back. There are two pilasters on the bookcase which have a small simple cap and a fluted section that runs down the front, and a slight design on the base. The bookcase has polished sides and stands on well carved ogee bracket feet, making it feel Georgian in style. It is a clean and very functional piece.
