This is an attractive and superb quality antique inlaid Edwardian mahogany bow front writing table, circa 1901 – 1910.

This is an attractive and superb quality antique inlaid Edwardian mahogany bow front writing table, circa 1901 – 1910. The top of the table features a satinwood and ebony inlaid stringing around the perimeter. All drawers are hand dove tailed with mahogany drawer linings (a sign of good quality). The exterior of the table boasts profuse satinwood string inlay to the top, front, sides, back and legs. There is profuse marquetry lovely inlay at the top of the legs. The front of table features a central drawer, which boasts detailed marquetry inlay and a working lock and key. Two fan-inlaid brackets flank the central drawer. The drawers feature the original brass fretted handles. The table sits on four tapering inlaid legs which terminate with a spade foot and sit on the original brass & mug castors.

Condition Report
In very good condition and is commensurate with its age. The table boasts the original polish and the original brass drawer handles. The drawers close flush to the frame. There is a working lock and key for the central drawer. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the desk but nothing significant considering the age of the item. There are some very small watermarks to the top of the table on the front right hand side (see detailed photos). There is also some minor bubbling to the top of the table, which again, is hardly noticeable (see detailed photos) but should be mentioned. Please remember that this item is over 100 years old. Free of woodworm, solid in joint and ready to use.

UK Returns & Refunds
A 7-day “no quibble” return policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. You will be given a refund as long as the item is returned in the same condition. The buyer is required to cover the cost of transit (the same as the delivery cost). We will collect the item using our specialist Furniture Delivery Company to avoid any damage. We do not accept returns via a courier service due to experience of damaged items in transit. This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.
