An extremely good quality inlaid mahogany double bed, complete with a slatted headboard with centre inlaid panel featuring a swags and tails design.

The panel is inlaid with satin wood and boxwood stringing, which are light timbers that stand out from the dark rich mahogany. The footboard is a mirror image of the headboard, and the bed stands on its original brass castors. This bed contains large robust side irons to support one of our newly made bed bases. All that is required to complete this bed is a standard double mattress. The bed is in good condition, but there is a small amount of fading to the footboard due to sunlight exposure as the photographs show.
