An enchanting Edwardian hallmarked gold locket in superb condition. Unlike many lockets which are the 'gold front and back' or 'gold filled' types this piece is solid gold. This beautiful rose gold locket was assayed at Chester in 1908, making it highly collectible. Ornate and very beautiful engravings adorn the locket. These include tiny forget-me-nots. Such a romantic gift! The front features a shield cartouche ready for engraving. The original frames are present and so this delightful locket can hold two photographs. The locket shuts firmly and works perfectly. No dings or damage. We have included a 20 inch rose gold plated sterling silver necklace so that you can wear your purchase straight away.
