An attractive antique settee. We date this settee to the early 20th century.

The settee sits on two cabriole legs at the front and two splayed legs to the rear. The settee has a tub shape design.

The padded armrests have a lovely carved mahogany front, the mahogany continues along the back in curved spars below a padded upholstered backrest with a scroll back. The seat pad is sprung.

The settee is upholstered in a cream floral material finished in a gold coloured cord and braid.

The settee has an overall height of 29" (73cm) with an overall length of 52.5" (133cm) and an overall depth of 27" (69cm). The sofa has a backrest height of 15.5" (39cm), a seat height of 13" (33cm), a seat width of 49" (124cm) and a seat depth of 19.5" (50cm).

This attractive settee remains in good solid condition with only minor surface marking commensurate with age and usage. The fabric has some wear and mellowing and the braid is loose in some areas. The frame has minor wear to some edges.

This remains a very stylish and elegant settee. The settee will continue to provide rest and repose for many years to come.
