Edwardian Arts & Crafts Limed Oak Armchair
This attractive armchair dates from c.1910. It is very much in the arts & crafts style and has a lovely shape. The chair has shaped uprights at the back with an inlaid panel featuring a bird in the centre of the back. It has shaped arms and an over-upholstered sprung seat. It is supported on square legs, the front of which have chamfered front edges. The upholstery is not original.
Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in good usuable condition with some wear consistent with age and use. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected and the piece is overall a little faded. The chair is nice and solid with only minimal movement in the joints. The upholstery has no rips or tears but is dated and a little faded. There is an area of damage with loss to the inlaid panel at the back.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 96cm high, 56.5cm wide, 56cm deep (to maximums) 47cm high to seat. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
