Edwardian Art Nouveau Style Mahogany Wardrobe
This antique wardrobe dates frm the first part of the twentieth century and is in the art nouveau style. It is constructed from what we believe to be mainly solid mahogany. It has a single bevel-edged mirrored door, flanked on either side by panels with art nouveau carving. There is a long drawer beneath. The door opens to a later hanging rail. The door and drawer retain replacement decorative handles and the wardrobe retains its lock, although please note that no key is present. Please note that the wardrobe does not dismantle, except that the cornice can be removed if required.
Condition: Overall this wardrobe is in good usuable condition, but does have some wear consistent with age and use. There is some quite heavy scuffing and wear in places, and some knocking around the edges. There is not key present for the lock and the handles are replacments. There is some black spotting to the mirror. The decorative rail at the top of the cornice is a little loose.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 218cm high, 125cm wide, 52cm deep (to maximums) 42cm deep (minimum internal depth of hanging section). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
