A rare Edna Best hand painted Art Deco tea pot designed by Pearl Pottery for Lawleys of London. In very good hand painted vintage condition with a few factory firing dots. No chips, cracks or crazing but the centre band has been professionally re touched in it's original colour due to flaking. A buff base handpainted in browns, oranges, yellow, green and black. A true art deco shape and design.This ware is quite crudely painted and was produced in the late 1920's and early 30's to compete with Clarice Cliff's Bizarre ware. It is now highly sought after.
