Early Victorian Mahogany Extending Dining Table, seats 12 Diners

This is a lovely table, it dates from the very early part of the 19th Century, the table opens in the centre, by means of a winding mechanism this allows the addition of a solid mahogany leaf to be inserted, and voilà you have a dining table large enough to seat 10 to 12 diners. This is the sturdiest form of extending table you will find.
The table is made in superb quality solid Flame Mahogany which has a good blonde colour, the table legs are very attractive, they are carved in an inverted tulip pattern

The table is top quality, very sturdy and in good all round condition for its age, the legs are superbly carved

The table is 30” high, 55” long and 48” wide and when extended, the table is 76” long
