A superb set of Early Victorian Library steps or 3 step commode on turned legs

This set of steps is in superb condition, the top step and the middle step have hinged lids. The centre step slides out so that it could be used as a commode.
The Commode is made in beautifully figured mahogany and the upper surfaces of the steps have their original tooled midnight blue leather, this has a few scratches but it is not in bad condition

A super and rare piece, the step is 27” high, 20” wide and 30” deep
