Early c19th French commode with marble top
This is a really very good quality and well proportioned French early c19th mahogany Louis xvi commode with fabulous brass rope handles and its original shaped marble top.
Great condition and internally, all oak and chestnut lined, so the drawers are all running well.
The top drawer is in three compartments, whereas the other two are full width drawers.
I have two keys and all working locks.
Simplicity in its style, but fantastic quality mahogany, clean lines and those wonderful brass rope handles, the turned and fluted columns with brass caps, finished with its original shaped marble top.
Great piece if you need storage, but also works well as a decorative antique with a gilt mirror and a pair of lamps, flanked by a pair of suitable armchairs.

33 1/2” or 85cm high
49 1/4” or 125cm wide
