Early 20th Century Ebony Shoe Horn
This is a stylish Early 20th Century Ebony Shoe Horn. The shoe horn has a turned circular handle and a traditional concave blade
The shoe horn is stamped EBONY just below the ring handle and dates to around 1900 to 1920. There is no indication of a maker.
Ebony items were very popular in the late 19th and early 20th century but since the fifties Ebony has become much scarcer and other materials have taken over.
Condition is very good with just a little wear to the bottom of the blade as you would expect with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The shoe horn is 19cm / 7.5ins long, 4.5cm / 1.8ins wide and weighs 44.8g / 1.58oz.
