Early 20C Gothic oak clerks desk writing table
Antique Gothic oak clerks desk lecturn writing table.
This is a lovely piece of antique furniture, with great Gothic styling and charm.
The desk is very heavy, has no loose joints and all of the drawers slide well.
Finished back and so the desk could happily stand in the centre of a room.
Keys for the writing slope and cupboard.
Plywood drawer bottoms suggest post 1900 construction.
Note that this is a one piece desk, which does not come apart for transport.
Overall dimensions 840mmW x 610mmD x 1040mmH (940-1030mmH writing slope) x 830mmH knee hole.
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, distortion, wear, imperfections, scratches, chips, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture and generally desirable. Internal ink stains as one would expect. No keys for the drawers and these locks are consequently untested. Some historic woodworm holes that have been treated for good measure.
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able bodied person for our driver to assist with carrying.
